Representative Experience:
- Represented a private company in domain-name litigation involving misappropriation of a domain name and Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act Claims.
- Represented ranch owners in Texas’ first trial opposing a $54,000,000.00 345kV CREZ transmission line under the new Competitive Renewable Energy Zone legislation.
- Represented an individual in a complex commercial litigation trial in federal court resulting in a judgment in favor of client for $405,958.29, prejudgment interest in the amount of $154,375.92, and attorney’s fees yet to be decided by the court.
- Represented Saratoga Resources Inc., Lobo Energy, Inc., and private shareholders in the negotiation of a private equity settlement in excess of $350,000.00 arising out of a reverse merger.
- Represented a private shareholder group in international litigation arising out of a breach of a complex business transaction. Obtained judgments awarding $560,000 CAD and 1.4 million shares of stock for his clients.
- Represented of a private national company in the prosecution of a breach of contract claim that resulted in a summary judgment in excess of $100,000.00 in damages and fees.
- Represented an individual in a negligent handling case that resulted in a jury verdict in excess of $100,000.00.
- Represented a creditor in a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy proceeding. Obtained dismissal of the bankruptcy case on grounds of bad faith.
- Represented an individual in defense of a breach of contract claim that resulted in an award of fees for his client.
- Represented governmental entities in defense of civil rights litigation.
- Authored appellate briefs in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit as well as the Texas Court of Appeals for the Tenth District that resulted in victories for his clients.
- Represented a private global company in drafting and negotiating International Distributorship Agreements.
- Negotiated a Trademark Co-Existence Agreement on behalf of Twin Liquors, L.P. and the Minnesota Twins, LLC.
- Negotiated a Trademark Co-Existence Agreement on behalf of Twin Liquors, L.P. and the Minnesota Twins, LLC.
- Represented APSI Construction Management, Inc. in drafting and negotiating a multi-million dollar Program Management Services Agreement for the Service Center Facilities Program of the San Antonio Water System.
- Negotiated, drafted, and oversaw the securitization of multi-million dollar transaction under United States and South African law.
- Represented a privately-owned real estate partnership in connection with the refinance of a $50,000,000.00 and $24,000,000.00 international commercial real estate portfolios.
- Represented a private company in an OSHA investigation.
- Represented startup co-founder in negotiation of an executive separation agreement.
- Negotiated and drafted merger and acquisition agreement for privately-owned information technology company.
